Engenheiro Mecânico – Estruturas e Engenharia Naval

Fugro is seeking a dedicated Mechanical and Naval Structures Engineer to join our team in Rio das Ostras, Rio de Janeiro. In this role, you will play a key part in the development, review, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safety, quality, and industry regulations.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a variety of technical tasks related to structural design and applied naval engineering, allowing you to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams on diverse offshore and onshore projects.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Developing and reviewing mechanical and structural drawings, including supports, frames, skids, platforms, and equipment accommodation systems.
• Performing fundamental structural analyses regarding stresses, deformations, and safety factors, as well as interpreting advanced analyses conducted by third parties, such as Finite Element Method and Finite Element Analysis (FEM/FEA).
• Ensuring that all engineering designs strictly adhere to applicable mechanical and naval engineering standards and codes.
• Designing and developing solutions compatible with specialized operational requirements in the naval and offshore sectors.
• Collaborating with project teams to resolve technical challenges, optimize structural components, and support safe manufacturing and installation processes.
