As a Principal Controls Engineer, you will join an inquisitive and collaborative engineering team dedicated to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your expertise directly helps people.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and participate in solutions to problems specific to assigned projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with manufacturing and other functional groups on manufacturing regulatory compliance issues.
- Write, implement, and report on validation activities, protocols, and operating instructions.
- Design and perform routine testing, project experiments, data analysis, and engineering studies on new equipment.
- Perform NCR/CAPA investigations, lead change control activities, and provide technical support within the production department.
- Assist the service department as a subject matter expert and lead equipment and process troubleshooting efforts.
- Establish and control capital operating budgets for projects, and assist in the design, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
- Coordinate with internal and external multi-functional teams to provide leadership, direction, and technical expertise for complex projects.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency with PLCs (Allen-Bradley Control Logix, AB500, Safety PLCs), HMIs (Allen-Bradley), Robotics (Fanuc, Yaskawa), and Vision Systems (Cognex, Keyence).
- Experience with servo control systems, electrical troubleshooting, safety systems (Category 3), E-Plan P8, AutoCAD, and industrial communication protocols.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and validation protocol execution.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.

- Estimated base salary range of $104,000 to $143,000 annually, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
