BAE Systems is seeking an Engineering Tools and Processes Advisor to join our team, with this specific position being assigned to our Edgewing Joint Venture in the Reading area. The role can be contracted to any BAE Systems site, with a preference for Frimley, and will be based near Ash Vale and Aldershot.
In this capacity, you will support engineering operations by providing guidance and expertise regarding standard tools, processes, and methodologies. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with established standards across projects, helping to drive operational excellence within the Edgewing JV.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Advising project teams on the correct application of engineering tools and internal processes.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting the implementation of enhanced engineering practices.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across different sites to ensure alignment and sharing of best practices.
- Providing training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for relevant engineering software and systems.
- Maintaining documentation and compliance records related to engineering tools and governance.
The salary for this position is £40,543 per year. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on-site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be considered in line with business requirements. A financial support package may also be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met.
