About this job
At Outcomes First Group, we believe in creating a better work-life balance while making a meaningful impact. We are currently seeking a dedicated Family Liaison Officer and Attendance Lead to join our team at Underley Garden School, located in Kirkby Lonsdale (LA6 2DZ), serving the Kearstwick and Carnforth areas. This is a permanent, term-time-only position offering a salary of £32,500 per annum (not pro rata), plus a travel allowance. The working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a scheduled start in September 2026. Please note that this opportunity is for UK applicants only, as no sponsorship is available.
As our Family Liaison Officer and Attendance Lead, you will serve as the crucial connection between home and school. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with families, students, and internal staff to support student attendance, wellbeing, and engagement. Your day-to-day responsibilities will naturally involve partnering with parents and carers to address attendance barriers, monitoring attendance data, implementing supportive strategies, and fostering positive relationships between the school community and families.
To be successful in this role, you should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to supporting families and young people. While specific requirements are guided by the needs of our students, candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively within an educational setting, managing attendance records, and acting as a dependable point of contact for household-to-school communications.
What we offer:
- A competitive salary of £32,500 per annum (not pro rata)
- Included travel allowance
- Term-time-only contract allowing for an improved work-life balance
- A supportive working environment focused on positive outcomes
If you are passionate about supporting student attendance and bridging the gap between families and education, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding permanent opportunity starting in September 2026.
