Optum is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our care delivery team. In this outpatient primary care role based in Dallas, TX (with clinical operations as structured for our care teams), your responsibilities will include conducting office consults, annual wellness visits, follow-up appointments, and performing general in-office procedures. You will manage a comfortable schedule averaging around 20 patients per day, seeing patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric age groups. Dedicated Medical Assistant support will assist you with rooming patients, taking vitals, processing prescription refills, and coordinating follow-up care.
Key responsibilities and daily expectations for the Family Medicine Physician include:
- Providing comprehensive outpatient primary care services to a diverse patient demographic from pediatric to geriatric.
- Conducting scheduled office consults, routine annual visits, and necessary follow-up appointments.
- Performing general in-office procedures as clinically indicated.
- Collaborating effectively with dedicated Medical Assistants and multidisciplinary care team members.
- Participating in quality initiatives and driving toward the Quadruple Aim in healthcare delivery.
Required qualifications and credentials for this position:
- Currently enrolled in a residency or fellowship program, with completion of 2+ years of residency training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med/Peds prior to the start date.
- Postgraduate Training License or an unrestricted state medical license required prior to start.
- Current paid-status DEA certificate prior to start date.
- Current ACLS certificate prior to start date, along with a current PALS certificate if applicable.
Compensation for this role generally ranges from $229,500 to $378,000. Total cash compensation incorporates base pay and bonus opportunities, determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, and experience, with potential increases based on productivity and performance.
