Kier Group is currently seeking a dedicated Civils Foreperson to join our water and wastewater treatment works team based in Harpenden. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working 45 hours per week at Harpenden STW, Marquis Lane, Harpenden, with some flexibility on hours available for the right candidate to discuss during the application process. The annual salary for this position is £30,679.
In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing day-to-day construction operations related to the development and building of vital water and wastewater infrastructure. You will work closely with site teams to ensure that projects progress efficiently, safely, and to the high standards expected by Kier Group and our clients in the utility sector.
Key responsibilities and duties typically associated with this role include:
- Supervising daily site activities and construction operations on water and wastewater projects.
- Coordinating on-site teams, subcontractors, and resources to maintain project schedules.
- Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Monitoring the quality of work and compliance with project specifications and designs.
- Collaborating with project managers and engineers to resolve any operational issues promptly.
- Maintaining accurate site records, diaries, and progress reports.
To be successful in this position, you should bring relevant practical experience in civil engineering or utilities construction, along with strong leadership and communication skills.
