Thandi Pty Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Fruit Picker to join our agricultural team on a full-time permanent basis. Located at 195 Camp Creek Road in Mena Creek, Queensland, this position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from A$77,000 to A$82,000. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic who enjoys working outdoors and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity in a commercial farming environment.
As a key member of our harvesting team, you will be responsible for carefully picking various types of produce while ensuring that all agricultural output meets our strict quality guidelines. Daily tasks will involve safely navigating the orchard or fields, handling produce with care to prevent bruising or damage, and efficiently meeting daily harvest targets.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Harvesting fruit efficiently and in accordance with established quality and productivity standards
- Inspecting produce for ripeness, size, and quality defects during the picking process
- Handling and placing harvested fruit into designated containers carefully to minimize waste
- Complying with all farm safety protocols, operational guidelines, and biosecurity measures
- Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily and weekly production goals
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area within the orchards and surrounding farm grounds
The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, physical stamina, and a positive attitude toward outdoor physical labor in various weather conditions. Previous experience in agricultural harvesting, farming, or a similar outdoor role is preferred.
