We are seeking a Global Operations Associate to join our European operations team and support our expansion in France. This role involves an initial period of 4 to 6 months based at our EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam for training on our operational processes, systems, and software, followed by a permanent relocation to Paris.
As a Global Operations Associate, you will coordinate multimodal shipments, drive end-to-end execution, and deliver a first-class customer experience. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting on the front line to ensure shipments move on time and handling exceptions appropriately.
- Supporting your team with medium-to-high escalations, complex movements, and tactical touchpoints.
- Assisting with team supervision to ensure high performance, data quality, milestone punctuality, and adherence to internal KPIs and SLAs.
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contributing to scalable procedures for maximum efficiency.
- Continuously identifying improvement opportunities and acting as a primary point of contact for internal and external escalations.
- Managing daily logistics operations with internal and external partners such as shipping lines, intermodal providers, customs, warehousing, and trucking.
- Operating with a cost-conscious mindset to avoid financial leakages.
We are looking for candidates who bring:
- A successfully obtained BTS GTLA degree or a BA/BS degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or an equivalent field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a freight forwarding agent, or working in supply chain, logistics, and/or freight operations in France.
- Knowledge of local port and terminal software systems (such as Ci5, AP+, CargoWise, etc.).
- Professional proficiency in both English and French.
- Strong time management, problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on, process-oriented approach.
- A customer-first mindset with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to undertake initial short-term relocation to Amsterdam for the first 4 to 6 months, followed by permanent relocation to Paris.
