BJC Healthcare is seeking dedicated professionals for a Graduate Nurse position in Manchester, Saint Louis County. This is a fantastic opportunity for new graduates and registered nurses looking to begin or advance their clinical careers within a supportive and specialized hospital environment. The annual salary range for this role is $66,560 to $100,422, with a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 available for qualifying candidates.
In this role, you will work within a specialized 19-bed Surgical Progressive/Intermediate Care Unit (Clinical Nurse 16300). Both full-time day and night shifts are available to accommodate different schedules. You will provide direct patient care to high-acuity patients recovering from complex surgical procedures and medical interventions.
Key responsibilities and clinical focuses in this unit include:
- Caring for abdominal transplant patients, including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants.
- Managing patients recovering from complex hepatobiliary surgery (HPB), such as liver resections, Whipple procedures, and pancreatectomies.
- Providing attentive post-operative care for patients undergoing ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeries.
- Monitoring patient vitals, managing recovery progress, and administering specialized clinical interventions.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
