In this vital role, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care within our high-risk obstetrics unit. You will be responsible for coordinating daily clinical operations, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining high standards of clinical practice. While specific day-to-day duties align with standard nursing coordination and leadership practices, your primary focus will be guiding clinical workflows, facilitating interdisciplinary communication, and advocating for both patients and the nursing team.
Key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this position include:
- Directing and coordinating clinical activities within the high-risk OB unit to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
- Collaborating with physicians, staff nurses, and other healthcare professionals to monitor and improve patient outcomes.
- Providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to nursing staff to foster professional growth and adherence to evidence-based practices.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance efforts, and safety audits relevant to maternal-fetal care.
- Holding current professional nursing licensure and relevant clinical certifications appropriate for high-risk obstetrical nursing.
