As a Household Claims Handler, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically include:
- Managing a portfolio of household insurance claims from initial notification through to final settlement.
- Communicating professionally and empathetically with customers via telephone and written correspondence to gather necessary details.
- Assessing policy coverage and liability to make fair and timely decisions on claims.
- Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners such as adjusters and contractors to ensure efficient claims progression.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case notes on all claim files in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
To thrive in this role, you should possess strong communication skills, a natural aptitude for problem-solving, and a genuine passion for delivering great customer outcomes. While previous experience in insurance or claims handling is beneficial, we are primarily looking for motivated individuals ready to learn and grow within the business.
