Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated Hydrogeologist to join our growing team on a full-time basis, located in the vibrant Brisbane CBD.
Geosyntec is expanding across Australia, currently supporting over 150 practitioners nationwide with established offices in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast. Following the addition of Red Earth Engineering to the Geosyntec family, our capabilities have deepened, particularly in the mine tailings and water dam sectors. We combine this expertise with our globally recognized reputation in hydrogeology, geochemistry, geotechnical engineering, seismicity, and risk management to help our clients address complex environmental and engineering challenges.
As a Hydrogeologist at Geosyntec, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers on diverse projects. While day-to-day duties align with standard professional practice in the consulting sector, typical responsibilities for this role generally include:
- Designing, managing, and executing hydrogeological field investigations and data collection programs.
- Analyzing groundwater data, developing conceptual hydrogeological models, and preparing technical reports.
- Assisting with groundwater modeling, water resource assessments, and contaminant hydrogeology evaluations.
- Collaborating with geotechnical, geochemical, and environmental teams on mine tailings, water dam, and land development projects.
- Ensuring all work adheres to relevant safety standards, environmental regulations, and company quality guidelines.
- Communicating technical findings clearly to internal teams, project managers, and clients.
