CHI St. Joseph Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, is seeking a dedicated Inpatient Rehabilitation SLP to join our team on a part-time basis in Wellborn, Brazos County. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients within your community by providing essential speech therapy and unwavering support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
As part of our dedicated clinical team, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients who require specialized speech-language pathology services in an inpatient setting. Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations for inpatient rehabilitation patients.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific recovery goals and clinical needs.
- Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary care team, including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies to support continued progress after discharge.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
The compensation for this part-time position is established at $68,458 per year.
