L3Harris Technologies is seeking talented Integration and Test Engineers to join our team in Greenville, TX. In this role, you will participate in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations. You will apply basic engineering design and analytical theory, alongside an understanding of structural analysis, for application to integrated system design.
As part of your daily responsibilities, you will engage in research, develop layouts, prepare engineering drawings, and coordinate design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost. Working alongside senior-level design engineers, you will utilize three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools to handle a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems across various platforms.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet one of the following education and experience criteria: a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering (or a similar field) with four years of related experience; a Graduate Degree with a minimum of two years of prior related experience; or a minimum of eight years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with good computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Candidates must also be able to walk to and from the flight line, work in an aircraft hangar environment, and board or exit aircraft. Willingness to travel or relocate, if necessary, is also required.
Additional skills that are highly desired include strong CAD proficiency and an understanding of basic aircraft systems. Please note that this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
