Optum is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician to join the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic team within the Optum family of businesses. Be part of a nationally recognized healthcare organization delivering coordinated and accountable care across a multi-specialty clinic environment.
In this role, you will examine adult patients aged 18 and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Your core responsibilities will include ordering medically necessary tests, performing follow-up visits, interpreting basic medical tests and imaging, and placing specialist referrals when needed. You will utilize the EPIC electronic health record system to support seamless collaboration across our care network.
Position details and schedule:
- Office hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Supported by dedicated nursing and administrative staff
- Periodic hospital call duties admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients, with select call groups utilizing nocturnists for overnight admissions
Required qualifications include:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Accredited Residency training
- Licensed or willing to be licensed in the State of Texas
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
Preferred qualifications:
- Bilingual English and Spanish fluency
Compensation for this role generally ranges from $229,500 to $378,000, including base pay and bonus potential based on factors such as education, work experience, local labor markets, productivity, and performance. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions, all subject to eligibility requirements.
