Council Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Labourer to join a dynamic Civil Operations team based from the Paget Depot, supporting the Erakala and Mackay region. This is a part-time opportunity to contribute directly to the ongoing maintenance and construction of essential local infrastructure, including roads and drainage assets.
In this role, you will play an important part in the daily operations of the Civil Operations team. Your key responsibilities and duties will include:
- Carrying out general labouring tasks associated with civil infrastructure projects
- Operating a variety of plant equipment and trucks as required for road and drainage works
- Assisting with the construction, repair, and maintenance of local roads and drainage assets
- Working collaboratively within a team to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
- Adhering to all relevant workplace health and safety guidelines and council policies
To be successful in this position, you should bring relevant experience in civil construction or maintenance, along with practical skills in labouring and the operation of trucks and associated plant. A strong commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and community service is essential for this role.
