We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee advanced technical projects, drive innovative electrical engineering solutions, and ensure successful product development from initial customer requirements to final delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for defining system architectures, developing circuit designs, and flowing down applicable requirements to cross-functional teams including software, ASIC, and test groups.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating customer requirements into system specifications and hardware/RF architecture description documents.
- Overseeing the development of qualification test plans to ensure solutions satisfy all requirements.
- Working closely with subject matter experts in GPS signal processing, anti-jam signal processing, control software, and government qualification standards.
- Collaborating with cost account managers, program management, and project management to ensure solutions stay within budget and schedule constraints.
- Supporting cross-functional conflict resolution, root cause analysis, and blank page architecture developments.
- Contributing to algorithm development, analysis, implementation, and system verification with an emphasis on military GPS electronics.
- Participating in or leading product development processes, design reviews, and customer presentations.
Education and experience qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience capturing schematic designs and PCBA layouts using modern EE CAD tools such as Altium or Mentor Graphics.
- 6 years of strong experience with receiver, antenna, or radio design (RF).
- 4 years of experience with embedded hardware design and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 2 years of experience with FPGA design and associated digital signal processing (DSP) and design tools.
- 7 years of experience with design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, P-Spice, Agilent ADS (or AWR), and Ansys HFSS.
Additional details and requirements:
- Must have a Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Requires 5% to 10% travel.
- The salary range for this role varies by geographic location, with typical ranges spanning from $110,500.00 to $236,500.00 based on location, experience, and other relevant factors.
