Life Change Group, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our team. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care Team in Newton, MA, you will play an integral part in our vision to make healthcare better for everyone by providing compassionate, high-quality care to our diverse patient population.
In this role, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions using evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Your daily responsibilities will support our patient-centered mission and ensure seamless clinical care.
- Form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
- Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and screen patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
- Provide behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient programs
- Systematically track treatment responses and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms or side effects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation in compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Participate in enriching the training experience of graduate students and represent the practice in community presentations as opportunities arise
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
- A clear, active, and unrestricted license (such as LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC) in the state of practice
- Familiarity with professional communication and medical documentation using electronic health record systems
