Family Counseling Associates, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our team. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team in Worcester, MA, you will be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone by treating a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population.
As a Licensed Therapist, you will be supported by comprehensive organizational operations—from clinical credentialing to business contracting—allowing you to focus entirely on patient care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Screening and assessing patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
- Providing treatment for mental health conditions using various approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods
- Systematically tracking treatment response and monitoring patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
- Hold a clear, active, and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT) in the state of Massachusetts
- Professional experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families, alongside comfort using computers for professional communication and medical documentation
