Watson Marine Engineering is seeking a confident, trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter, Machinist, or Marine Mechanic to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on service, maintenance, and repair of a wide and diverse range of vessels and marine equipment. From everyday pleasure cruisers and commercial vessels to world-class superyachts, your technical expertise will ensure every watercraft is maintained to the highest operational standards.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this position include:
- Performing scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on various marine engines and associated systems.
- Machining components and fitting mechanical parts with a high degree of precision.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across different types of vessels.
- Working collaboratively within a well-established workshop team to meet project deadlines.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with industry standards.
- Ensuring all work is documented accurately and completed to a high quality of craftsmanship.
