AHVS CORPORATE SERVICES PTY LTD is seeking a dedicated Medical Practitioner to join our team on a full-time basis in the Canberra Region, Australian Capital Territory. Australian Veteran Health Services is a veteran-led medical practice dedicated to supporting current and former Australian Defence Force personnel.
Experienced General Practitioners are increasingly choosing AVHS because it offers a different kind of GP role—one that values clinical judgement, time, and quality over patient volume. In this position, you will use your clinical expertise and judgement to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Australian Veterans by delivering focused, high-standard healthcare without the pressure of rushed appointments.
We offer a highly flexible working arrangement where you can choose your own schedule. Whether you prefer to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week, we are flexible and committed to accommodating your work-life balance while providing a guaranteed hourly rate.
Key responsibilities in this role typically include:
- Providing comprehensive clinical consultations and healthcare services to patients
- Applying professional clinical judgement to assess, diagnose, and manage patient health needs
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborating with a veteran-led medical team to ensure coordinated and high-quality care
- Prioritizing thorough patient assessments and individualized care plans over high-volume scheduling
