Optum is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist (LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC) to join our team in the Tulalip Bay and Marysville, WA areas. As part of Optum Behavioral Care, you will play an integral role in a clinician-led organization that is transforming healthcare delivery and improving wellbeing for patients. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by integrating mental health support directly into primary care settings.

In this hybrid WFH role, you will be embedded within our healthcare client, Western Washington Medical Group. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday with no evenings, weekends, or holidays required. You will work remotely one to two days per week, with the remaining days spent onsite at the medical clinic serving patients across an assigned caseload.

Primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing direct clinical services to patients using both virtual and in-person modalities within a collaborative care model
  • Screening and assessing patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
  • Systematically tracking treatment response and monitoring symptom changes, medication adherence, and side effects
  • Delivering brief behavioral interventions utilizing evidence-based techniques such as motivational interviewing and problem-solving treatment
  • Participating in regular caseload consultations with psychiatric consultants and coordinating care plans with primary care providers

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a current active license in the state of Washington as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Possess 3+ years of experience treating patients with behavioral health conditions across pediatrics and adults
  • Demonstrate 1+ years of experience working within a primary care or medical behavioral integrated setting
  • Have professional experience conducting assessments and utilizing evidence-based psychosocial treatments and brief behavioral interventions

External candidates may be eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Compensation for this full-time role ranges from $58,800 to $105,000 annually, determined by factors such as education, local labor markets, and work experience.
