Are you an experienced automotive technician looking for a dynamic new opportunity? We are currently seeking a dedicated Mobile Mechanic to join the RAC in Lugg Bridge, Hereford. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be part of our innovative SMR Division, representing a new era of mobile vehicle repair and delivering top-tier service directly to our customers.
In this position, you will operate as a mobile technician, managing your own workload and providing expert vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on the road. We offer a competitive total earning potential of up to £52,000 per year, which includes a strong base salary and on-target earnings. To support your earning goals, we also provide a guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, alongside additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
Your weekly schedule will consist of 40 hours, with core hours running from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and a requirement to work 1 in 4 Saturdays to ensure we meet customer demand. You will work independently and professionally, utilizing your strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills to get motorists back on the road safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities in this role typically include:
- Performing mobile vehicle inspections, servicing, and routine maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults accurately and efficiently
- Completing necessary repairs using your own professional expertise and company-provided resources
- Delivering exceptional customer service while representing the RAC brand on the road
- Maintaining accurate records of all work completed and parts used
- Adhering strictly to health, safety, and environmental guidelines at all times
