We are currently seeking a skilled Mobile Mechanic to join the RAC in our SMR Division for an exciting new era of mobile repair, based in White City, West London. This is a full-time position offering a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly while delivering top-tier automotive maintenance and repair services directly in the field.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of customer vehicles at their location. Working independently and efficiently, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to ensure high standards of workmanship, exceptional customer service, and safe vehicle operation.
The position operates on a 40-hour working week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, alongside a 1 in 4 Saturday shift pattern. We offer a competitive total earning potential of up to £57,000 per year, which includes a guaranteed overtime option to help increase your base earnings, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
Key responsibilities and expectations for the role include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a diverse range of vehicles at mobile locations
- Accurately diagnosing complex faults using specialist diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
- Maintaining clear and professional communication with customers regarding repair work, timeframes, and recommendations
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and industry regulations
- Managing van stock, tools, and equipment responsibly to ensure readiness for daily jobs
