Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic based in Kingsway, Derby, and become part of our SMR (Service, Maintenance & Repair) Division. This is a unique opportunity to experience a different kind of RAC role, focusing on mobile repair and maintenance rather than traditional roadside rescue. We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time professional to deliver exceptional vehicle servicing and repairs directly to our customers.
In this role, you will enjoy a competitive earning potential with a base salary structure and on-target earnings of up to £52,000 per year. We also provide a guaranteed overtime option to help increase your base earnings, along with additional overtime and bonus opportunities. Your standard working week will consist of 40 hours, featuring core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota.
As a Mobile Mechanic with the RAC, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve:
- Travelling to customer locations to carry out scheduled vehicle services, routine maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
- Diagnosing various vehicle faults accurately and efficiently using specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Providing professional, customer-focused communication regarding necessary repairs and vehicle health.
- Maintaining accurate records of all completed work, parts used, and vehicle inspections.
- Complying fully with health, safety, and company guidelines while operating your mobile workshop vehicle.
