Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile repair based in Holcot, Northampton. While the RAC is widely known for roadside rescue, this is a different kind of role focusing on Service, Maintenance, and Repair delivered directly to our customers.
This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, alongside a 1 in 4 Saturday shift pattern. You will enjoy a competitive base salary with on-target earnings reaching up to £52,000 per year, which includes guaranteed overtime options to increase your earnings, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
As a Mobile Mechanic with the RAC, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Traveling to customer locations to carry out essential vehicle service, maintenance, and repair work
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently using professional tools and equipment
- Performing routine vehicle checks, component replacements, and servicing according to high standards
- Maintaining accurate records of all completed work and parts used
- Providing exceptional customer service and communicating repair requirements clearly to vehicle owners
