We are currently seeking a skilled Mobile Mechanic to join the RAC in Horsham, West Sussex, on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our SMR Division, representing a new era of mobile repair. Please note that this role focuses on service, maintenance, and repair rather than traditional roadside rescue, offering a unique and dynamic working environment for automotive professionals.
In this role, you will be responsible for travelling to customer locations to carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles. You will maintain high standards of workmanship, ensure safe working practices at all times, and deliver exceptional customer service on behalf of the RAC brand.
We offer a competitive compensation structure designed to reward your hard work and dedication:
- On-target earnings of up to £52,000 per year, supported by a competitive base salary and performance opportunities
- Guaranteed overtime option available to increase your base salary to £44,385
- Additional overtime and bonus opportunities to further boost your earnings
- A standard 40-hour working week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- A manageable rota requiring 1 in 4 Saturdays
To succeed as a Mobile Mechanic with us, you should possess relevant mechanical qualifications and hands-on experience in vehicle service, maintenance, and repair. Because this is a mobile role, a valid UK driving licence is essential. You should also be comfortable working independently, managing your time efficiently, and communicating professionally with customers.
