RAC is currently seeking a dedicated Mobile Mechanic to join our SMR Division on a full-time basis, operating in and around the Cowie Park, Stonehaven and broader Aberdeen, Scotland area.
In this role, you will represent a trusted household name while stepping into a different kind of automotive career. As part of our SMR (Service, Maintenance, and Repair) team, you will deliver high-quality vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs directly to our customers, bringing convenience and expertise right to their location. This is a dynamic, road-based position that requires a strong technical background and a customer-first approach.
We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward your hard work and expertise:
- Competitive base salary of £40,170 per year
- On-target earnings (OTE) of up to £52,000
- Guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary
- Additional overtime and bonus opportunities
The position is based on a 40-hour work week. Core hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a standard rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Key responsibilities and expectations for this role include:
- Performing routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs to a high standard
- Diagnosing faults efficiently using up-to-date tools and technical knowledge
- Managing your mobile workspace and inventory safely and professionally
- Communicating clearly and politely with customers regarding vehicle condition and required work
- Adhering strictly to health, safety, and company guidelines while on the road
