Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile repair based in Trigon, Wareham. While the RAC is widely known for roadside rescue, this is a different kind of role focusing on Service, Maintenance, and Repair delivered directly to our customers.
This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, alongside a 1 in 4 Saturday working pattern. You will enjoy a competitive base salary with guaranteed overtime options available, plus additional bonus and overtime opportunities that bring your total on-target earnings to up to £52,000 per year.
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve:
- Travelling to customer locations to carry out routine servicing, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults efficiently and accurately using professional diagnostic equipment.
- Replacing worn or damaged parts in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintaining a well-stocked and organised mobile workshop vehicle to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with customers regarding repair work, vehicle condition, and recommendations.
- Completing digital job sheets and required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
