Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile repair. While the RAC is widely known for roadside rescue, this is a different kind of role focused entirely on Service, Maintenance, and Repair (SMR) delivered directly to our customers.
This is a full-time position based in Port Elphinstone, Inverurie, offering a total on-target earning potential of up to £52,000 per year, which includes a competitive base salary of £40,170 alongside bonus opportunities. You will work a 40-hour week with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, alongside a commitment of 1 in 4 Saturdays. To help you further increase your earnings, a guaranteed overtime option is available, complemented by additional overtime opportunities.
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Traveling to customer locations to perform routine servicing, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults efficiently and accurately using mobile diagnostic equipment.
- Completing all necessary documentation and updating service records in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service on every job.
- Managing your van stock, tools, and equipment effectively to ensure readiness for daily appointments.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who holds relevant automotive qualifications and brings practical experience in vehicle service, maintenance, and repair. You should possess a strong customer-focused approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while on the road. A valid UK driving license is essential for this mobile role.
