Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician within our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile repair. Based in Cockfosters, Barnet, this full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to bring your technical expertise directly to our customers, delivering high standards of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair on the move.
In this role, your core schedule will be 40 hours per week, operating from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a requirement to work 1 in 4 Saturdays. You can achieve on-target earnings of up to £57,000 per year, supported by a competitive base salary, guaranteed overtime options, and additional bonus opportunities.
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicles at customer locations.
- Diagnosing faults accurately and efficiently using specialized mobile equipment.
- Communicating professionally with customers to explain required work and provide expert advice.
- Maintaining a well-stocked and organized mobile workshop vehicle to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Completing all necessary digital paperwork and job sheets accurately in a timely manner.
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong background in vehicle mechanics and maintenance, who holds relevant industry qualifications (such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and a valid UK driving licence. You should be comfortable working independently on the road, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
