Are you an experienced automotive professional looking for a new challenge? The RAC is seeking a dedicated Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our SMR Division for a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Claygate, Esher.
In this dynamic role, you will be part of a new era of mobile repair, bringing top-tier vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair directly to our customers. This position offers a competitive base salary with on-target earnings of up to £57,000 per year, supported by a guaranteed overtime option, additional overtime opportunities, and attractive performance bonuses.
Your weekly schedule will consist of 40 hours, featuring core working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, along with a 1-in-4 Saturday shift rotation to ensure consistent customer support.
Key responsibilities for this mobile role typically include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a variety of customer vehicles at their location.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults efficiently using appropriate tools and technical knowledge.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Communicating professionally with customers to explain completed work and provide expert advice.
- Maintaining accurate records of all vehicle inspections, parts used, and services performed.
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair who possess the independence and customer-service skills required for a mobile position. A full, valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
