We are currently seeking a dedicated Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the RAC within our SMR Division, representing an exciting new era of mobile repair. Based around Denner Hill and Great Missenden, this full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver expert automotive services directly in the field.
In this position, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs efficiently and to the highest standards. Working on a mobile basis means you will travel to various locations to assist customers, utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve a wide range of vehicle issues promptly and professionally.
We offer a competitive base salary with on-target earnings of up to £57,000 per year. Additional financial enhancements include a guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, as well as further opportunities for overtime and performance bonuses.
The standard working week is 40 hours, structured around core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a requirement to work 1 in 4 Saturdays to ensure comprehensive service coverage for our customers.
Key responsibilities and requirements for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role include:
- Performing routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs at customer locations.
- Diagnosing complex faults accurately using the appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Maintaining a high standard of work while adhering to all relevant safety and quality guidelines.
- Communicating effectively with customers to explain necessary repairs and provide professional advice.
- Managing your daily workload and travel schedule efficiently to meet service level agreements.
- Holding a relevant industry-recognized qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (such as NVQ or equivalent).
- Possessing a full, valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
