Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile repair. We are currently looking for a dedicated professional to cover the Scotland region, specifically in and around Kirkton Of Skene and Westhill, offering an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair directly to our customers.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of £60,000 per year based on a 40-hour work week. Core working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a standard rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays. You will operate from a fully equipped mobile unit, bringing dealer-level expertise and convenience straight to the customer’s home or workplace.
Key responsibilities in this mobile role typically include:
- Performing routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs (SMR) at customer locations
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
- Maintaining accurate digital records of all completed jobs and vehicle inspections
- Representing the RAC brand with a professional, customer-first attitude
- Managing van stock, equipment, and tools effectively
We are looking for candidates with relevant mechanical qualifications and hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. Because this is a mobile role, a full UK driving licence is essential. You should also possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently on the road, and excellent customer service abilities.
