Schwan’s Company is currently seeking reliable and dedicated individuals for a full-time MOI position on the 1st shift at our manufacturing facility in Tahlequah, OK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leader in the food manufacturing industry, known for producing beloved nationwide brands such as Red Baron®, Tony’s®, Freschetta®, bibigo®, Pagoda®, Mrs. Smith’s®, and Edwards®.
Starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift differential applicable for hours worked between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am. The standard hours for this 1st shift role are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Working hours may vary depending on the production schedule, and candidates should be open to working overtime or weekend shifts as needed.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating manufacturing equipment with simple functions to support our production goals. Key duties include:
- Setting up and pre-running equipment to ensure a proper and safe production startup.
- Controlling line speeds, batch formulas, production rates, and starting and stopping equipment while maintaining product quality and safety.
- Performing various quality checks and completing required paperwork accurately, including downtime logs and HACCP documentation utilizing SAP and SOPs.
- Adhering strictly to safety guidelines and utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as bump caps, safety glasses, earplugs, hair and beard nets, gloves, and safety shoes or rubber boots.
- Communicating effectively and problem-solving with coworkers and management across all levels.
To be successful in this fast-paced environment, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent (0-1 years of experience preferred).
- Ability to operate machinery safely with minimal supervision.
- Physical capability to stand and walk on concrete for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform frequent bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the day.
- Capacity to perform basic math, read production specifications, and relay essential information to team members.
- Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-placement background check and drug screen.
