In this role, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure, and collaborating closely with radiologists and other medical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key responsibilities typically include:
- Preparing and positioning patients for MRI scans while explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety.
- Operating MRI equipment following strict safety protocols and physician orders.
- Screening patients for metal objects and contraindications prior to imaging.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring equipment is properly calibrated and sanitized.
- Adhering to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient privacy guidelines.
The annual salary for this position is $130,791, with an hourly wage estimate ranging between $36.90 and $55.35 per hour.
