As an MRI Technologist, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by attending physicians. Your daily efforts will contribute directly to delivering high-quality diagnostic services and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the imaging department.
Key responsibilities and professional expectations for this role typically include:
- Operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment safely and effectively to produce diagnostic images.
- Preparing patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Reviewing physician orders and clinical histories to ensure appropriate imaging procedures are performed.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, imaging logs, and equipment maintenance reports.
- Collaborating closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Adhering strictly to safety protocols, radiation and magnetic safety guidelines, and hospital compliance standards.
