Programmed is currently expanding its team and seeking dedicated Forklift Operators and Truck Drivers of all classes for opportunities in South Launceston and across the wider Launceston area, as well as statewide Tasmania. In this role, you will be responsible for safely handling freight and materials, operating vehicles or equipment in accordance with all relevant regulations, and maintaining high standards of workplace safety.
Key responsibilities and expectations for the role include:
- Operating forklifts or commercial trucks of various classes safely and efficiently.
- Completing pre-start and post-operation checks on equipment and vehicles.
- Adhering strictly to all road transport laws, site safety rules, and company guidelines.
- Loading, securing, and unloading freight or materials as required.
- Communicating effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and clients.
- Maintaining accurate records, logs, and paperwork associated with daily duties.
