Join a collaborative and patient-focused team with Pain Management Associates at CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico. We are currently seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our practice on a full-time basis, supporting service line growth and community need.
In this role, you will work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, fellow nurse practitioners, medical assistants, clinical leads, front office coordinators, and a clinic supervisor. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no call responsibilities.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for adults (18+) dealing with chronic conditions and workplace injuries.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for an expected patient volume of 25-30 patients per day.
- Prescribe and manage medication therapies, including controlled substances, while prioritizing opioid stewardship and alternative therapies.
- Ensure full compliance with clinical best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain efficient and accurate EMR documentation.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner with a background in pain management or a related clinical field.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care and improving quality of life.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Proactive approach to process improvement and staying current with modern treatment modalities.
