OB/GYN Hospitalist – OB/GYN – Kelsey-Seybold – Rice Village

Optum is seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist to join the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic team in Austin, TX. As part of a nationally recognized, multi-specialty health care organization, you will have the opportunity to work alongside leading medical providers and help drive higher quality, higher patient satisfaction, and coordinated care.

In this hospital-based role, you will deliver comprehensive obstetric care and emergent gynecological services, focusing on women’s health throughout their adult life. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing hospital-based obstetric and emergent gynecological care
• Participating in regional OB/GYN team rotations and performing hospital-based duties
• Rounding on inpatient obstetric patients, managing scheduled labor inductions, and performing planned C-sections
• Admitting and managing labor for patients assigned to the regional Kelsey provider group
• Working 24-hour shifts, with an expectation of approximately 7 shifts per month, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Graduate of an approved training program from an accredited medical school, residency, or fellowship program upon hire
• Licensed in the State of Texas
• Board Certified or Board Eligible, having completed residency and practicing, or currently in residency when applying

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $278,500 to $484,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus, and is determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, and work experience, with potential increases over time based on productivity and performance.
