As an Occupational Health Nurse located in Mountain Home, AR, you will play a vital role in implementing an effective occupational health program at the facility level, acting as a key business partner to maximize productivity and reduce health-related costs.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing immediate care for employee and visitor illnesses and injuries, coordinating medical emergency responses, and participating in root cause analysis processes. Your daily duties will include executing job placement and health surveillance programs, such as hearing conservation, respiratory surveillance, and chemical hazard exposure management. You will maintain strict documentation systems, handle regulatory reporting including OSHA and Workers Compensation, manage effective return-to-work case programs, and lead risk-based health promotion initiatives to support employee wellbeing.
Additional responsibilities involve partnering with safety professionals to recognize workplace health hazards, overseeing the on-site drug-testing program, conducting basic ergonomic assessments, and facilitating compliance with applicable health and safety regulations. You will maintain professional continuing education and collaborate with external physicians to ensure continuous improvement of the facility health program.
To qualify for this position, candidates must be a Registered Nurse with a current license to practice, possess a minimum of three years of experience in a clinical nurse setting, and hold certification in CPR/first aid. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Occupational Health certification are preferred. You should bring strong critical thinking, decision-making, computer proficiency, and interpersonal communication skills, alongside the physical ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
We are committed to transparent pay practices and equitable compensation. The estimated base salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $93,000 annually, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses, determined by location, skills, and experience.
