As an Occupational Therapist in Home Health, you will be responsible for the assessment and evaluation of patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, adaptive equipment, and other occupational therapy needs as defined by medical conditions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Evaluates the patient’s functional status, status of all body systems as required for CMS documentation, and occupational therapy needs, while consulting with the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care.
  • Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and physician the patient’s response to treatment and any changes to the patient’s condition.
  • Conducts patient assessments evaluating the level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
  • Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour based on full-time employment, with exact compensation depending on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Additional benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions, all subject to eligibility requirements.
