As an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), you will be responsible for providing essential occupational therapy to patients in their home environments to help restore them to their fullest physical ability. You will play a vital role in patient recovery, working collaboratively within a dedicated healthcare team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care and adhere strictly to the treatment plan defined by the supervising occupational therapist.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatments within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant, following the established plan of care and relevant state regulations.
• Observe, record, and promptly report the patient’s response to treatment and any changes in their condition to the nurse supervisor and the physician.
• Educate the patient, family, caregivers, and other members of the health care team in applicable areas of therapy within the certified scope of the assistant.
• Manage daily tasks efficiently while working independently in diverse home care environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or reliable transportation.
• Ability to function professionally in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills, along with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The hourly pay for this role ranges from $23.41 to $41.83 per hour based on full-time employment, with exact pay determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
