Ramsay Health Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopaedic or Spinal Scrub Nurse or ODP to join the theatre department on a full-time, permanent basis at 37.5 hours per week. Based in Ocean Village, Southampton, this position offers an annual salary of £49,749. In this role, you will work within modern facilities equipped with advanced technology, including laminar airflow systems and state-of-the-art integrated theatre setups. You will play a vital part in surgical teams, assisting with a variety of orthopaedic and spinal procedures to ensure the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence for every patient.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Acting as the scrub practitioner for a range of orthopaedic and spinal surgeries.
- Preparing, checking, and managing surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables safely.
- Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other multidisciplinary team members to maintain a sterile and efficient theatre environment.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with all hospital policies, health and safety regulations, and infection control standards.
- Providing high-quality care and reassurance to patients throughout their perioperative journey.
