Eldercare is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of residents while working within a supportive and caring environment.
We are currently looking to fill shifts across our Maitland and Minlaton sites, with specific availability including night shifts at Maitland and AM/PM shifts at Minlaton. This position is well-suited for junior candidates looking to build a meaningful career in the aged care sector.
As a Personal Care Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will generally include:
- Assisting residents with personal care, daily hygiene, and grooming routines
- Supporting residents with mobility and safe transfer needs
- Helping with meal and beverage service, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Observing and reporting any changes in resident health or wellbeing to senior nursing staff
- Fostering a warm, engaging, and respectful environment that promotes resident independence and dignity
To be successful in this position, you will need a compassionate approach to care, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to support older Australians. Relevant qualifications or a willingness to learn are essential for this role, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
