UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Inpatient I to join our team at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Larimer County. This is an onsite role based at the hospital facility, offering a flexible PRN work schedule designed to fit variable departmental needs. Please note that this position does not offer remote or hybrid work options.
In this vital role, you will support the inpatient pharmacy department by assisting with the preparation, distribution, and management of medications under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve accurately filling medication orders, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, restocking automated dispensing cabinets, and ensuring compliance with all hospital safety and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities generally include:
- Accurately dispensing and delivering medications to various hospital units.
- Preparing sterile and non-sterile products as required and permitted by training and regulations.
- Inspecting medication storage areas throughout the facility to check for expiration dates and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Communicating effectively with nursing and medical staff regarding medication availability and order statuses.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
