As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will perform treatments, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education aimed at improving and enhancing patient well-being while closely following the established plan of care.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care, executing treatments defined solely by the supervising physical therapist and performing only procedures you are qualified and trained to handle.
  • Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional activities, activities of daily living, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
  • Observe, record, and report the patient’s response to treatment and condition changes to the supervising physical therapist, nurse supervisor, and/or physician while coordinating care with the broader healthcare team.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and other team members within the proper scope of a physical therapy assistant.
  • Participate in a required weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current license, registration, or certification to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or reliable transportation.
  • Ability to function professionally in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $23.41 to $41.83 per hour, with actual pay determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401(k) contributions, subject to eligibility requirements.
