Optum is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team, offering virtual care and outpatient services as part of the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic network. In this role, you will help drive higher quality, higher patient satisfaction, and lower total costs while working with one of the nation’s leading health care organizations.
As a Family Medicine Physician, you will specialize in caring for the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of patients and their families, treating individuals ranging from children age 5 to senior adults. You will diagnose and treat a full range of health issues, perform wellness exams, and coordinate care with specialty physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- See patients in an outpatient setting Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including new patient visits and corporate physicals.
- Participate in the Family Medicine Call single call group, providing on-call coverage approximately once per month on a weekday or shared weekend day to answer patient phone calls.
- Perform annual physicals, wellness exams, and routine preventive medicine.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO).
- Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency training program.
- Licensed or willing to obtain licensure in the State of Texas.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Compensation for this role generally ranges from $226,000 to $366,000, combining base pay and performance-based bonuses determined by factors such as education, experience, productivity, and local labor markets. In addition, eligible team members receive a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase opportunities, and 401(k) contributions.
