Optum is seeking a dedicated Physician in Gastroenterology to join our clinician-led care team in Middletown, NY. As part of the Optum Care Delivery network, you will be supported by the clinical resources, data, and stability of a global organization, working alongside talented peers in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
In this role, you will help advance the health of your community through a value-based, evidence-based care model. Key responsibilities include:
- Consulting with patients to understand health concerns and performing specialized tests to diagnose and treat conditions.
- Performing endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures, with ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound procedure experience highly preferred.
- Examining patients in the clinic, conducting hospital rounds, and performing medical procedures as needed.
- Consulting closely with primary care physicians and other specialists.
- Serving as a collaborating physician to assigned Advanced Practice Clinicians.
Position highlights include a collegial multispecies group practice with a large referral base, conveniently located surgery and ASC centers with ownership opportunities available with tenure, and a full complement of support staff including Advanced Practice Clinicians, Medical Assistants, and administrative teams.
Candidates must meet the following required qualifications:
- Fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
- Residency training in Internal Medicine.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology.
- Unrestricted medical licensure in the state of New York, or a New York license application submitted and in process.
- Active and unrestricted CDS permit and DEA license, or the ability to obtain them prior to start.
- CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start.
We offer a guaranteed, competitive compensation model based on quality rather than volume, with a salary range of $371,000 to $735,500 annually based on full-time employment, variable by experience and metric achievement.
