BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our operations. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to important projects and working within a dynamic engineering and manufacturing environment. Please note that this position involves working from our locations in the Glasgow area, including Govan and Scotstoun, and candidates must be able to attend an onsite recruitment day in Glasgow.
As a Pipefitter, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining piping systems, and ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards. You will work closely with other tradespeople and team members to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements and qualifications:
- Must be able to attend an onsite recruitment day in Glasgow.
- Must provide Modern Apprenticeship certificates or Trade Papers when submitting your application.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter within a relevant industrial or manufacturing setting.
- A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in the workplace.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics.
